At West of Pluto Software, we believe that your mobile phone should provide plenty of fun as well as function. We bring fun to your phone by developing and publishing compelling games for your BREW, J2ME and/or Mophun enabled mobile phones. We work with a variety of partners, from content providers to carriers, to bring the very best games and entertainment to mobile phone users worldwide. We also provide custom software development services for translating your cellphone software ideas into real products. West of Pluto Software was started in October, 2001 by Marc Ilgen, who had spent the past 19 years doing high technology research. Marc's goal was to combine his information technology knowledge with long dormant creative energies to create compelling entertainment for portable devices. Recognizing the tremendous business opportunity this emerging area represented, Marc left his corporate Research Director position in January 2002 to run West of Pluto Software fulltime.

In 2003, West of Pluto began focusing on the development of BREW, J2ME, and Mophun games. Our first game was Snowball Fight, which was developed as a joint effort with CleverMedia. Snowball Fight is now deployed in over 20 countries worldwide and continues to be a top seller on Verizon. We have developed BREW, J2ME and Mophun versions of Snowball Fight so that it can run on a wide variety of handsets. Our second game was Something Fishy, also developed as a joint effort with CleverMedia. Something Fishy is being published by Airborne on a wide variety of carriers worldwide. We are currently finishing a Cribbage game and are in the middle of development for two more games, coming soon!
